Virtual meeting before fieldwork

The team now includes three faculty members from UTSA, Trinity University and the University of Kansas, one paleontologist curator at the Witte Museum, one doctoral student and one undergraduate student from UTSA, and two undergraduate students from Trinity University. Preliminary data were gathered by the Trinity University team during Summer 2020; last week, we organized a Zoom meeting during which Chuckie presented petrographic and geochemical results for the VFW Dance Hall. Overall, these preliminary results are consistent with neighboring track sites and point out to very shallow environments, eventually emersion at time of formation of the tracks. More to come…

This coming Friday and Saturday, part of the team (Dianna, Thomas, Justin and Alex) will travel north of Austin to describe the track site in Leander, collect samples and digitize dinosaur trackways.
